Pascalle Wisse -  a CHA Director
With this letter I would like to introduce myself so you will get to know me a little bit better.

Me and my husband moved from Holland 8 years ago. We live and farm in a small town in Southern Alberta and absolutely love it. We love the way of life, the climate (if the winter isn't too cold) and the friendly and helpful people around us.
We have two wonderful kids, a son of 4 and a daughter of 3.
I brought my two horses from Holland when we moved, my half Arabian, retired dressage horse who is now 19 and my Fjord horse who is now 15. I have owned both for 15 years.
The first couple of years I bought, trained and re homed a lot of horses and ponies that I would buy privately or at auctions.
Then I had the opportunity to buy the wonderful herd of Haflingers I have today and that is when Alberta Family Horses was born. I have 4 mares and a stallion. All my Haffies are super friendly and love the attention they get from both me and my daughter. I am super exited as all my mares are bred for this season. I am hoping in the future to ride them more as they are such friendly and kind souls.
I know the breed since I was a little girl and first started riding at the age of 5. Because the breed is so trustworthy, quiet and versatile they are very suitable as kids horses and this makes them very popular in Holland. You see the Haflingers there as you see Quarter horses here.
Last year I made 4 people new and proud Haflinger owners and I can't wait to get all horsy Canadians hooked on Haflingers.
Thank you,
Pascalle Wisse
