The International Horse Agility Club - proposed by Nancy Ingalls Are celebrating their 10th anniversary. There are fun competition classes that come out every month on their club website and that we participate in at home. The final results for 2019 will be posted soon and I thought the club may be interested that a Haflinger finished in the top 5 of all classes we took. It is a great way to bond and get to know your horse not to mention something fun to do all winter when we are stuck in an arena! YouTube club presentation.

Ocular Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) in Haflinger and Belgian Horses Researchers at the Veterinary Genetics Laboratory and UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine investigated ocular Squamous Cell Carcinoma (SCC) in the Haflinger and Belgian breeds and determined that a recessive mode of inheritance explains some of the genetic components involved in the development of this cancer.
